Product/Business Data Analyst (remote/relocation possible)

To further this goal we are looking for analysts to push our booking experience to new levels, to make sure that our customers can find the best accommodation deals & book them easily on our product. As a Product Data Analyst you will own all analytics within out OTA(online travel agency) tribe who own our booking experience end-to-end! This includes checkout&booking management experience, supply partner integrations & management, payments&fraud, finance and customer support. So we're looking for a driven expert who understands e-commerce and who has the technical & analytical skills to make sense of the mountain of data our users generate and to support the teams & operations of the OTA tribe with analysis, experimentation, tracking and prioritisation. This is a great challenge for the product analyst who wants to grow beyond product analytics and wants to join us in our quest to build the next generation of accommodation search!
What you will be doing
Perform in-depth analysis on complex user behaviour data to discover insights & optimise the user experience
Analyse & interpret AB test results and contribute to ideation & prioritisation of AB tests
Work closely with the Product Owners and Tribe Lead to give guidance on and influence goals, roadmaps and prioritises.
Support tracking across our products&teams and build data models & dashboards to visualise it in Looker, our BI software in collaboration with data engineers.
Own payment and fraud analytics
Support financial reporting & customer support with data & tracking.
Overall be the data expert in the OTA tribe giving guidance to all aspects of running this business unit
Communicate proactively and educate the rest of the company with insights & best practices
What a day in the office might look like:
You start the day by checking up on the product dashboards & AB tests to see if anything requires attention. During the daily stand-up you raise issues you identified regarding payment acceptance rate & conversion rates of one our supply partners and suggest improvements to deal with them. Before lunch you improve the data model & dashboard used by the customer support team to measure their progress. After a team lunch you'll meet with the team to brainstorm new experimentation ideas and prioritise the backlog to deliver the most value to customers. At the end of the day you'll set aside time to deep dive into the latest payment method that we implemented in the checkout and write-up your insights & recommendations of how to evolve payment methods in the next iterations.

Requirements
Required qualifications & experience:
At least several years of hands-on experience using data to drive product and business decisions, with significant part of that in product & e-commerce analytics.
You are highly analytical and data driven and have the ability to assemble, analyse and interpret data to make decisions and communicate findings
You are eager to learn new things and have a flexible mindset
You have a strong customer focus and product intuition
You are an expert at using SQL and developing data models & dashboards in BI tools like Looker, Tableau or Qlikview.
You have experience designing & analysing AB tests
You have experience in or the motivation to grow into analytics of running business&operations in areas like payments, financials and customer support.
You have good understanding of statistics
Preferred qualifications & experience:
Especially for the more experienced candidates, we'd also expect to see in depth experience in one or more of the optional areas below (in order of priority):
Business Intelligence, event analytics tracking, data modelling, data warehousing
Payment & Fraud analytics
Business & financial analytics
Programming & statistical modelling in Python or R.
Web analytics software like Google Analytics, Mixpanel & Amplitude
