Product Owner - Payments / Finance

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Product Owner to manage the payment product that enables our customers to pay for their booking and allows us to pay our partners. The payment products play a critical role in allowing our customers to book with us and make a difference between a smooth vacation and a frustrated customer.

The payments team is an up-and-coming squad with a relatively young product and an open field to create an excellent payments eco-system as part of our booking platform. We work with top tier payment systems and tools (Stripe, Riskified, PCI-Proxy). Our strategy is to scale first and optimise later; this allows the team to innovate and solve customer problems.

You will report to our Head of Product, Ido.

What you will be doing:

  • Own our payment products, end-to-end: Roadmaps, prioritisation, backlog, discovery and more
  • Work with the rest of the business and the leadership team to understand product challenges and set the team's priorities.
  • Define KPIs and ensure that the product meets its goals (OKRs), both quantitative and qualitative
  • Discover new features, define enhancements, write requirements, prioritise and lead the squad with clear and well-articulated "What" based on an inspiring "Why".
  • Work enthusiastically to make sure your team is doing the right things whilst not spreading yourself too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is fundamental for all successful teams at FindHotel.
  • Always be up-to-date on developments in the payments eco-system, our tech stack and changes in our industry. You want to be on the cutting edge of everything you and the squad do


You have :

  • Solid experience working as a Product Owner/ Manager with payment products in an eCommerce/ Marketplace context
  • The ability to inspire and support a team to achieve
  • You know how to work with data, utilise it, and work with engineers to produce data
  • You always strive for clarity and transparency. You are an excellent communicator that can effectively collaborate both with Engineers and business stakeholders.
  • You know how to influence at all levels within an organisation and in a variety of contexts.
  • You are passionate about solving problems and translating those solutions into requirements that your team can execute.

Preferred experience:

We'd also expect to see in-depth experience in one or more of the optional areas below (in order of priority):

  • Credit card acceptance and fraud management
  • Alternative payment methods
  • Stored balance management
