We are looking for a Marketplace Finance Manager to help us with our OTA business unit - allowing our customers to book great hotel deals directly on FindHotel. You will need to assertively develop the finance operations and control of the OTA business unit almost from the ground up, overseeing all aspects of financial and management reporting alongside the financial strategy. We are looking for someone with experience in Marketplace, eCommerce, or ePayment that will work on a varied set of problems while designing a scalable system , most way. You will work with colleagues, our suppliers, advisors, and partners to optimise our payment and funds flow and push the best processes and practices across the company, helping with other ad hoc tasks and issues that may arise.

What you will be doing

  • Control and verify the flow of funds from the source (customer) to the destinations (us, partners, hotels)
  • Account and verify the tribe P&L
  • Ensure all proper financial controls are adhered to and prepare reporting results to the appropriate stakeholders across the business
  • Take responsibility to be the main point of contact for our suppliers, accountants & advisors
  • Be Responsible for modelling forecasts and cashflow
  • Negotiate and improve terms with finance-related tools/ partners (e.g. PSP, fraud protection, etc.)
  • Ensure end to end profitability tracking for each booking (reconciliation)
  • Liaise with advisors, accountants, and tax authorities
  • Create and maintain financial projections
  • Help the OTA tribe with reconciliations and administrative tasks if needed
  • Control and optimize currency conversion across the business model.


Who we are looking for

  • Experience in Finance for Marketplace, eCommerce, or ePayment. Experience in facilitating payments is a big plus.
  • First hand knowledge of online payment platforms and processes, including alternative payment methods.
  • Able to create reports from scratch, understand and create optimal processes.
  • Collaborative with an open approach - you will have a desire to contribute to wider team success and be an integral part of an effective team.
  • Someone that appreciates continuous improvements of our controllership framework, evaluates and measures spend efficiency, who would develop to provide controllership to new highs.
  • Experience of supporting strategic and tactical business initiatives, with strong financial acumen
  • A commercial thinker - quick to pick things up and able to zoom out to see the bigger picture.
